The “Deliver Us from Evil” exhibition curated by Eeva-Liisa Puhakka took place from 4 August through 2 September 2018 at the Art Centre Antares in south-eastern Finland. The exhibition of 12 artists featured artworks that concerned religious movements and sectarianism, rituals, and human relationships with natural environments including forests. Works explored spirituality in the relation to the construction and sacralisation of religious buildings, depictions of the human form in Christian imagery, and the influence of religion on sexuality and expressions of womanhood. The works encompassed a number of media including painting, drawing, light art, film, and sculpture.
